Co-Founder & Chief Engineer at Radford

Ant Anstead is a co-founder and chief engineer of Radford. He is responsible for overseeing the build process of every single bespoke, hand made vehicle to meet exacting customer specifications. Anstead works on each vehicle built from the Radford production facility in Laguna Beach, California. For many years, Anstead built bespoke cars for elite clients and collectors all over the world and he is best known for hosting car-centric television shows such as For the Love of Cars (2013) and Wheeler Dealers, the number one, most distributed show on The Discovery Channel. In March 2021, Ant joined forces with co-owners F1 World Champion Jenson Button, and leading business advisor Roger Behle to revive the Radford name. Ant brings his experience of engineering and building one-off vehicles and his passion for classic cars to help Radford create contemporary luxury commissions true to timeless designs, but with a modern and relevant version of coachbuilding for the 21st century. Born in Devon, England, Ant now lives in California. Being a father to his three children is the most prominent and important aspect of his life, just before cars! He is the author of ‘Petrol Head Parenting: The Essential Guide to Diagnosing and Nurturing a Petrol Head’ (Great Flood Publishing, 2018).
