Dan Black, Sr. Manager, Service Engineering- Collision Repair at RIVIAN Automotive LLC, based out of Irvine, CA has over 20 years of experience in the collision repair industry and 18 of them have been developing and validating collision repair strategies at multiple OEMs. With the increased usage of advance high strength steels and other lightweight mixed material substrates Dan has collaborated with design engineers and industry suppliers to provide feasible repair solutions for the collision industry. He currently leads a team of engineers and specialist who are responsible for developing collision repair procedures and reviewing varied repair procedure methodologies to ensure they align with Rivian design standards prior to publishing collision repair documentation. As the complexity of vehicle structures and electrification architectures continue to advance, his team is committed to delivering detailed repair processes to ensure the safety and performance attributes of Rivian vehicles are restored to pre-collision condition.
