Frank Bohanan is an automotive consultant and journalist specializing in matters relating to regulatory compliance, emission testing, new vehicle technology, and the specialty automotive aftermarket. He has a mechanical engineering background with extensive experience in these and other areas. Frank has worked for, and with, SEMA and OEMs in the regulatory compliance/certification, engineering, testing, aftermarket performance, and product planning areas. He has also gained additional expertise with high output and racing engines while working at General Motors, McLaren Engines, and Chrysler Corp. Through his current duties as a consultant, he continues to work closely with the automakers, government agencies, specialty vehicle and parts manufacturers, media, law firms, and other groups. He provides technical and regulatory recommendations, compliance audit services, legal and expert witness support, and legislative/regulatory testimony, as well as product development, engineering, and media support. Frank's is also a published author whose writing credits include two published books, several published columns (Car Craft, Mustang & Fords, and SEMA News magazines, etc.), as well as numerous freelance articles. When not writing, advocating on behalf of vehicle enthusiasts, or helping aftermarket companies develop and/or certify their products, Frank is an avid motorsports fan and car collector. He travels extensively to attend numerous events and has also worked at many as technical support for live television.
